2019 Ajijic Malecon Footbridge Rehabilitation

In 2019, the Lakeside Garden Guild voted to provide the major funding necessary for the restoration of the two footbridges on the Ajijic Malecon. The project was conducted in conjunction with the Chapala Sunrise Rotary Club and InsideLakeside.com. The hardwood was purchased and the installation carried out by municipal workers. This was a much needed project as the deterioration of the wood footbridges bridges constituted a serious hazard for pedestrians.
